Skinning is a primary profession which allow players skin leather,hides and scales off the corpses of mobs in World of Warcraft.But not all mobs can be skinned.
Skinning trainers can be found in each town in the game.Skinning knife is a necessary tool for skinning.You can purchase a skinning knife from General and Profession-item traders or buy a Gnomish Army Knife from an engineer. Before you start to skin,you need to kill the mobs and gain skinnable corpses.
The chance of gaining a skill point in skinning depends on the color of the mobs.You can increase your skinning skill by wearing proper equipments. When you get enough Skinning skill points,you can upgrade your skill level by talking with Skinning trainer.Leather and hides can be sold for profit,or used in Leatherworking.You can gain shiny fish scales from frenzy and other fish, besides dragonkin of different types will give you special scales or skins not found among other mobs.
