Pets are creatures that a player can summon or tame in World of Warcraft,after that, a variety of pets can run or fly around the game behind you.
There are four types of pets in World of Warcraft:combat pets,guardian pets,mounts and follow pets.Combat pets are creatures that can aid players in the battle,such as hunter pets and warlock pets.Combat pets can be sent to attack a mob by clicking on Attack option on the pet action bar.Once a pet is summoned,its action bar appears above the player's action bar.All combat pets share six abilities,they are Attack,Stay, Follow, Aggressive, Defensive,and Passive.
Guardian pets can be summoned,but cann't be directly controlled.They usually act as a combat pet in Aggressive and Follow abilities.Mounts usually refer to creatures which are ridable.Follow pets are tiny creatures that only provide artistic appeal and do no influence to combat.They cannot attact or be attacked in the normal.
Players may get pets from a quest reward,reputation reward,vendors or constructed by engineers.Meanwhile,you may have lots of pets,but you cannot summon no more than one combat pet and one companion pet at a time,except the guardian pets.
